Originally located in Odense, Badminton Academy Aarhus has trained countless athletes over the years. In 2026, we moved to Aarhus to offer enhanced facilities, attract both Danish and international players, and continue our mission of developing badminton talent at every level.
Badminton Academy aarhus – our story
Our badminton academy was founded over 15 years ago in Odense by Lennart Engler, a renowned coach in the badminton community. Lennart has extensive experience working with some of the sport’s top talents, including Viktor Axelsen, Frederik Søgaard, Maiken Fruergaard, and Sara Thygesen. Today, he leads daily training sessions at the Badminton Academy Aarhus and Hojbjerg Badminton Club. Additionally, Lennart coaches U9-U19 national teams in both Spain and Austria, bringing his expertise to the international stage.
Education
The players at our academy can effectively combine full-time training and studies at the Aarhus University or at one of the several gymnasiums in Aarhus. These schools have specific programs tailored for athletes who want to improve their game without sacrificing their studies.
